![]() ![]() There is just something about playing these games on controller that makes them so incredibly fun to me. I've heard the console version of diablo 3 getting a lot of praise for it's controller support in years past and I'm just glad to see the bigger games are now offering controller support on PC for POE and Diablo 4 etc. ![]() The POE implementation is not perfect cause it doesn't allow you to use both inputs at will(I like mouse for inventory) but it still makes the game fantastic to play. I played it years ago with joy2key and though it was functional it still left a lot to be desired. After buying a steam deck I discovered that path of exile had gotten official controller support and have been stuck on it ever since. For isometric games I'm not even really a big fan of WASD. If they added gamepad support to PC version, sure it can be nice but I wouldn’t expect it after 10 years, by the time they dropped content making a few years back for the game already.I love loot games but really can't stand click to move. Steam Deck has to be big enough for them to consider it which takes time and by that time, Diablo 3 will be forgotten. Would it pay off to give gamepad support for a decade old game? Time will tell. This would be a better use of resources instead of letting your employees work on a game which bought by black market geniuses and bots when it’s on a sale. That means, the people who go under all that code, could be better used at coding for a new product. From a design stand point, console and PC versions play utterly different and no one can promise if the community would want the same console game play on PC as the next step.įrom a profit stand point, diversing the new installment is more productive. Twenty years.ĭiablo 3 is a ten year old game, still has a strong community and has a deep influence on upcoming Diablo games already. Otherwise, it wouldn’t even justify half of its current price. So, for sure they’d bother to add such features after twenty years to make it look polished. The new D2R is catering to a new generation of gamers, beloved by certain markets and supports playing on different platforms on a whim. Oh nice, so shift play between platforms had some weight afterall.īut get this legacy Diablo 2 is two decades old and Diablo 3 is a near decade old (12th is a few days away), game compared to D2R or D4. ![]()
